🤖 How to Draw a Cartoon Robot | Easy Drawing for Kids

Today I thought it might be fun to do an easy directed drawing of a cute cartoon robot 🤖. Let’s give it an antenna and some wiggly arms with pinchers to grab stuff. Then we can give it a robot heart to make it look really cute! I tried to keep the directed drawing fun for older kids and adults, but also easy enough for kids in preschool and kindergarten. Follow these directed drawing instructions that make a cute cartoon robot drawing easy to do:

Start by drawing the head of the robot. Draw a long rectangle near the top of the page.
Now let’s add some big robot eyes. Inside the rectangle, draw two circles for eyes on each side, and add pupils looking in any direction you’d like. No need for light reflection here because these are not human eyes!
Next let’s draw the mouth, ears and an antenna. Add a small curved line between the eyes for a smile, and then two half circles on each side of the head for “ears”. Draw a line up from the top of the head with a small circle on top for the antenna. Add some “rays” to make the antenna light up.
Let’s draw the cartoon robot’s body and neck. Draw a square below the head, leaving some space for the neck. Then create the robot’s neck by drawing two small lines up to connect the body to the head. Finally, add some vertical lines inside the neck, giving it a bendy look .
Now let’s give our robot a heart. In the middle of the body, draw a heart shape. Then draw some connecting lines from each corner of the body, giving our robot a metal box look.
Next let’s draw the cartoon robot’s arms. Draw two curved lines out from one side of the body, and connect them with a straight line for the wrist. Repeat on the other side.
Add some robot hands and texture to the arms. At each wrist, draw a circle for a hand. Then for each hand, add a small line that doesn’t quite go all the way through, to give it a crab-like pincher look. Finish by adding lines along the arms to give them a bendy look also.
Then let’s draw the robot’s legs and feet. Draw a smaller rectangle under the body for the legs, followed by a longer but more squished rectangle under it for the robot’s feet. Draw a straight line down the middle to separate the legs.
Finish the cartoon robot drawing by adding some texture to the legs. Adding some horizontal lines on the legs to make sure they can bend as well!
